On Thursday, July 23, UALR Alumni members with a specific focus on UALR business graduates, met together for a networking event at By The Glass in the Heights.

This is the second in the alumni association’s By The Glass Mixer events, and the first time that they have partnered with the College of Business in the series. The resulting turnout was positive, according to the alumni office.

The College of Business approached the alumni office, hoping to be able to reach out to and engage business graduates. In the past, College of Business has offered similar events under the name of Café MBA to current and former MBA students and graduates as well as local professionals in the hopes of connecting employers to potential employees.

“These events give alumni an opportunity to make meaningful connections with other Little Rock professionals. This is also a great way for our alumni to stay connected with UALR and the Alumni Association. It’s a win for all and a great time,” said Clayton Andrews, Annual Giving and Membership Association within the association.

The alumni association, among hosting fun events for members, also wants to bring all alumni closer together, even if it’s across generation gaps. Touting the Networking by the Glass event as a place where “influential Millennials and Gen Xers meet,” the goal is to get professionals to mingle in a laid back, happy-hour setting.

Stay tuned as the alumni association for future similar events.
