Arkansas Access to Justice is pleased to announce the following people have been appointed to join its Commission and Foundation, as noted below. Commissioners and Board Members serve three year terms.

Arkansas Access to Justice Commission (AAJC):

• Skye Martin, a Little Rock attorney, was appointed to the Arkansas Access to Justice Commission by the Arkansas Bar Association.

• Jim McLarty, a Newport attorney, was appointed to the Arkansas Access to Justice Commission by the Arkansas Bar Association.

Arkansas Access to Justice Foundation (AAJF):

• Dave Dickson, President of Union Bank & Trust Co. in Monticello, was appointed to the Arkansas Access to Justice Foundation Board by the Arkansas Bar Association.

• Hillis Schild, Community

• Sainabou Sonko, an Associate at Mitchell Williams, was appointed to an at-large position on the Arkansas Access to Justice Foundation Board.

• Stacey Pectol, Clerk of Courts, was appointed to the Arkansas Access to Justice Foundation Board by the Arkansas Supreme Court.

The AAJC works to ensure justice for all. That means that all Arkansans get the protections of the law. The commission researches unmet legal problems in Arkansans, encourages attorneys to do pro bono work for families who are priced out of the legal market, and recommends evidence-based solutions to policymakers.

AAJC’s sister nonprofit organization, the AAJF, funds the state’s two civil legal aid organizations: the Center for Arkansas Legal Services and Legal Aid of Arkansas. Together, their lawyers help more than 13,000 Arkansans yearly with knowing and enforcing their rights and by being their voice in court. Through these approaches, we all work together to achieve fairness and make sure nobody with a legal problem is excluded from justice.
