BBRA Trivia Night a success

I am very proud that members of the Benton/Bryant Realtors Association have gone to great lengths this year to help with charities this year.

What has happened? Our members were very generous in giving both their time and contributions to relief efforts to help out tornado victims in Faulkner County and the board itself was able to contribute to the ongoing mission of the Christian Community Care Clinic in Benton. On May 8, we held our second ever BBRA Trivia Night to benefit Special Olympics of Arkansas and raised around $2,700 to benefit that charity.

I want to thank our members for taking time out of their schedules to help some charities in our community. Real estate markets are better than they have been in years and that means people are busy. In spite of that, BBRA members have found time to help us reach our goal of helping out our community when called on to do so.

When we help our charities, our community is stronger for those efforts. Such work is important and I know there are plenty of our members who agree.

Oh, and there’s another activity in which the board is involved. We are selling chairs to benefit Habitat for Humanity. If a Realtor spends $25, he or she can purchase a chair with a “donated by” sticker displaying the name and office of the contributing agent. Those chairs will be used at Habitat for Humanity of Saline of Saline County Build sites and at the group’s regular meetings in its headquarters in Benton.

Those chairs represent our support for Habitat. The fact they are inexpensive ways to market your business doesn’t hurt, either.

For more information and to purchase a chair of your own, get in touch with the Board office at (501)315-4811.

The charitable efforts have been fantastic so far this year. Keep up the great work.
