Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce hosts awards

The Minority Business Awards Luncheon kicks off MED Week, celebrating the diversity of the Little Rock Regional businesses. 

 

On Sept. 9, 2019, Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce held its Minority Business Awards Luncheon at the Clinton Presidential Center as a way to recognize minority business leaders that excel in their field as well as advocates and organizations dedicated to supporting these businesses. Awards in the following categories were:

-Little Rock Regional Emerging Minority Business of the Year – presented to a new minority-owned business (1-3 years) that is poised for future growth and has carved a niche for itself in the Little Rock Regional business community.

-Little Rock Regional Minority Business of the Year – presented to a minority-owned business that has exceeded industry standards and achieved phenomenal business success leading to significant growth, and job creation.

-Little Rock Regional Minority Support Organization of the Year – presented to an organization or a financial institution in the Little Rock Region that is actively championing and helping pave the way for minority businesses to succeed.

-Little Rock Regional Minority Legacy Business of the Year – presented to a minority-owned business that has been in business for 25 years or longer and has demonstrated a consistent track record of business health and growth, and community involvement.

The Minority Business Awards Luncheon was the first event of MED Week – a week to recognize minority businesses and celebrates their successes each September. The week includes seminars, training and networking opportunities tailored specifically for the needs of minority business owners.
