NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

On May 13, 2021, at 4:00 p.m., in the William Grant Still Ballroom of the Robinson Center, 426 West Markham Street, pursuant to the provisions of Section 31 and 36 of the Code of Ordinances, the Little Rock Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on various proposals for the following properties:

1. G-23-476 – Cottondale Lane Partial Right-of-Way Abandonment; located immediately west of Riverfront Drive.
2. Z-6974-D – City of Faith Correctional Facility – Conditional Use Permit Renewal; located at 1401 South Garfield Street.
3. Z-9574 – Phillips Duplexes – Conditional Use Permit; located at the Northwest corner of West 37th Street and Zion Street.
4. Z-9577 – Dunnahoo Multi-Sectional Manufactured Home – Conditional Use Permit; located at 11305 Sardis Road.
5. Z-9298-A – Stephens Laundromat – Conditional Use Permit; located at 8420 Scott Hamilton Drive.
6. Z-7091-C – 810 Brookside Drive; Request to rezone 11.67 acres from PRD, Planned Residential Development to MF-24, Multi-Family District.
7. Z-9576 – South side of Lee Summit Drive between Wren Road and Cardinal Road; Request to rezone 0.39 acres from R-2, Single-Family District to R-4, Two-Family District.
8. Z-9529-A – Ali Apartments – PD-R; located at 7520 North Chicot Road.
9. LU-2021-15-01 – An amendment to the City’s Land Use Plan Map in the Geyer Springs West Planning District from Residential Low Density (RL) to a Residential Medium Density (RM) land use designation on approximately 0.5 acres generally located on the west side of the 7500 block of North Chicot Road.
10. Z-5817-K – Cantrell West Retail Center – PCD; located at 15122 Cantrell Road.
11. LU-2021-19-01 – An amendment to the City’s Land Use Plan Map in the Chenal Planning District from Suburban Office (SO) to a Commercial (C) land use designation on approximately four (4) acres generally located just west of the Southwest Corner of Cantrell Road and Chenonceau Boulevard.
12. Z-6258-B – 17815 Cantrell Road; Request to rezone 8.50 acres from O-1, Quiet Office District to C-3, General Commercial District.
13. S-1073-M – Lot 2, Arkansas Systems Office Park – Replat; located at 17500 Chenal Parkway.
14. Z-7898-D – Cross Street Elderly Housing – PRD Revocation; located at 1012 South Cross Street.
15. Z-9561 – 18601 Cooper Orbit Road; Request to rezone 3.48 acres from R-2, Single-Family District to AF, Agriculture and Forestry District.


Interested parties may participate in the public hearing to be held at the above-mentioned place and time, by registering in-person at the public hearing, or in one of the following ways:

No later than 24 hours prior to the public hearing time, email written comments/written statement to lrzoning@littlerock.gov, including associated item name(s) or case number(s.) The comments/statements will be submitted for consideration to the Planning Commission.

OR

No later than 24 hours prior to the public hearing time, email lrzoning@littlerock.gov and disclose: a) email address, to receive a WebEx meeting invitation for live interactive video participation, and; b) telephone number suitable for texting. Prior to the public hearing, you will receive the WebEx meeting invitation, and will be texted only if connection difficulties are encountered before or during the public hearing.

As stated above, individuals wishing to participate in the public hearing in person may do so, however, social distancing will be practiced at all times. Persons will be allowed into the public hearing room under guidance of City staff and only during the hearing item(s) for which they are registered. Registration cards will be available from City staff members at the public hearing sit and interested parties may otherwise register and participate as described above.

Project applications and related information is available for visual review in the Department of Planning and Development, 723 West Markham, Little Rock, Arkansas. Interested parties are invited to contact the Planning and Development Department by phone at (501) 371-4790 to discuss application details or make arrangements to review available information.
