Message from the FCBOR president

July 21-27, 2014

I hope everyone has been enjoying the summer so far. We have been blessed that it has not been a hot one, yet. School will be starting soon so I want to remind everyone to watch their speeds in the school zones and to not be on the phone while driving. Just a friendly reminder, as we get busy with our phone calls and texts it is hard to not immediately respond to them, even while we are driving; but it only takes a split second and things end up in disaster. There are several schools on highways, so please allow enough time when you drive past and watch for children crossing the road, as they walk to school. Remember to take caution even if it is not during times when school is starting or ending during the day.

I would like to give a big thank you to everyone for your continued support and I look forward to serving the board as president. Filling Richard Henley’s shoes will be a tough one but I am up to the task, and I have all of you for help.

I’m asking each member to please consider contributing to the Arkansas REALTORS®’s Political Action Committee (ARPAC). ARPAC is our voice to all of our elected officials locally and nationally. Let our voices be heard because there are several issues out there that could affect our personal and business lives.

And don’t forget to register for the ARA 90th Annual Convention and Tradeshow at the Fort Smith Convention Center. The dates are September 15-17. You won’t want to miss it.

Thank you,

Gelinda Mudgett

Faulkner County Board of Realtors president
