In three years, the Facilities Education Scholarship has helped 50 University of Arkansas at Little Rock employees and family members continue their education. GolfFEST made this program possible and has helped six recipients earn the credits needed to graduate.

This year’s GolfFEST took place on Monday, Sept. 21, at the Chenal Valley Country Club. Mike Beebe, former Arkansas governor, played at the event and spoke briefly about the program. Steve Sullivan, KATV sports director, also participated.

Money raised will help fund scholarships for UALR’s facilities management employees.

The program has awarded 104 scholarships at a total of $76,956 in three years.

In conjunction with other university benefits, the Facilities Education Scholarship offers eligible employees a free college education at UALR or assistance with attending another approved school.
