Like last weeks Magnolia tree photo, the ornimental Bradford pear is also an early bloomer, spreading white petals like snow in the wind. Bradfords life expectancy is only 12-15 years, due to the shape of its growth. It has a tendency to break apart easily during windy weather. To help prevent this, pruning is advised after the bloom.
