UALR Distinguished Alumni Awards

Chloe Deaton, 23, of Little Rock, addresses the crowd during the UALR Distinguished Alumni Awards on May 13 at the Clinton Library. Deaton, a Donaghey Scholar who taught women in Nicaragua how to support themselves by making metal jewelry and selling their creations online, was the recipient of the 2016 Edward L. Whitbeck Memorial Award, the the single greatest distinction the university annually bestows on a graduating student. Also honored during the event were Elaine Eubank, who received the UALR Distinguished Alumni Award, and Paul Nolte, the UALR Presidents Award winner. (Photo by Becca Bona)
