A RESOLUTION TO SET JUNE 17, 2025, AS THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO FORM AND LAY OFF CITY OF LITTLE ROCK MUNICIPAL PROPERTY OWNERS MULTIPURPOSE IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 2025-001; (MOUNTAIN BROOK); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has been provided with a petition executed by the owners of a majority in value of the relevant property to form and lay off City of Little Rock Municipal Property Owners Multipurpose Improvement District No. 2025-001 (Mountain Brook) for the purposes set out in Arkansas Act 113 of 1987 and A.C.A. §14-94-101 through §14-94-128; and, WHEREAS, the property associated with City of Little Rock Municipal Property Owners Multipurpose Improvement District No. 2025-001 (Mountain Brook); is more completely described as follows: 37.2556 ACRES BEING A PORTION OF THE NORTH 3/4 OF THE NE l/4 OF SECTION 14, T-2-N, R-14-W, CITY OF LITTLEROCK, PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS; MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: COMMENCING AT A POINT LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE N3/4 OF THE W1/4, NE1/4, NE1/4, SAID SECTION 14; SAID POINT ALSO BEING THE POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE N87°36'04"W, ALONG THE SOUTH LINE OF THE N3/4 OF THE NE 1/4 OF SAID SECTION 14, A DISTANCE OF 1,653.57' TO A POINT ON THE WEST LINE OF SAID NE1/4; THENCE LEAVING SAID NORTH LINE N02°51'1S"E, ALONG SAID WEST LINE, A DISTANCE OF 961.39' TO THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF SAID NE1/4; THENCE S87°36'13"E, ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF SAID NE1/4, A DISTANCE OF 1,653.68' TO A POINT LOCATED ON THE EAST LINE OF THE W1/4, NE1/4, NE1/4, SAID SECTION 14; THENCE ALONG SAID EAST LINE, S02°51'39"W-981.46'; BACK TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING. WHEREAS, before such action can be taken it is necessary to have a public hearing before the Little Rock Board of Directors.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. A public hearing on the question of whether to form and lay off City of Little Rock Municipal Property Owners Multipurpose Improvement District No. 2025-001 (Mountain Brook) shall be held at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock at Little Rock City Hall, 2nd Floor, 500 West Markham, Little Rock, Arkansas at 6:00 PM on June 17, 2025.
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by Arkansas State Law by publication once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in Pulaski County, Arkansas, and having a general circulation in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Section 3. All persons who request further information about this proposed Improvement District may view the documents on file with the City Clerk, 2nd Floor, City Hall, 500 West Markham, Little Rock, Arkansas; or, to contact counsel for the proposed district.
Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
Section 5.Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
