Chancellor Christina S. Drale has announced that Allen Stanley, a certified public accountant with more than 25 years of experience in finance and higher education administration, has returned to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock as the new vice chancellor for finance and administration.

“I’m delighted to welcome Allen back as our new vice chancellor for finance and administration,” Chancellor Christina S. Drale said. “Not only is he highly respected by the campus community, but he brings with him a deep understanding of our institution’s financial landscape and its mission. I’m confident that Allen will play a vital role in advancing the university’s strategic goals and ensuring the long-term financial health of our institution. We look forward to his insights and collaboration as we continue to strive for continuous improvement.”

Stanley joins UA Little Rock from the University of Central Arkansas, where he served as the associate vice president for finance. Prior to UCA, Allen has a long history with UA Little Rock, beginning his career as an accountant in 1998. Throughout his time at the university, he also worked as a grants manager, accountant for the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center, director of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, director of financial services, and associate vice chancellor for finance.

Stanley earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Central Arkansas and a Master of Business Administration from UA Little Rock. A North Little Rock resident, he is a member of the Southern Association of College and University Business Officers and the National Association of College and University Business Officers.

“I am honored to return to UA Little Rock as the vice chancellor for finance and administration,” Allen said. “I am eager to collaborate with the dedicated faculty, staff, and leadership to ensure the university’s financial sustainability and growth. Together, we will work to create a strong foundation for the future, empowering the university to continue making a transformative impact on its students and the community.”

Stanley replaces Jerry Ganz, who left to pursue other work opportunities in December.
