Picking up painting in Benton

February 24 - March 2, 2014

Looking for an interesting way to wind-down? Wondering what it would be like to finally try to be the artist you always wanted to be? Perhaps it’s time to give painting a try.

Diane Roberts Art Studio and Gallery in Benton offers the opportunity to explore painting classes and more.

Dianne studied at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Ark., where she received a Bachelor’s in fine arts.  Beginning as an art instructor for the public school system, she now offers private classes and workshops.

Dianne feels that visual art is an important part of community, school and everyday life. Childhood is the best time to develop interest, skills, and aptitudes that will last a life-time, and through meaningful art activities, children develop initiative, creative ability, self-evaluation, discipline and an appreciation of beauty.

Beyond offering children’s classes, she also offers paint classes for adults. The class fee includes the canvas and paints needed to create a masterpiece.

Adult class fees are $45 and scheduled on Mondays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon.

The studio is closed during the day on Monday and all day on Sundays. For more information call 501-860-7467, or email drstudio@sbcglobal.net
